Foxconn Expects Stronger Third Quarter as AI Demand Grows

Foxconn expects its third-quarter performance to exceed market expectations as demand for artificial-intelligence infrastructure strengthens. The Foxconn AI revenue outlook followed record August sales announced on September 5, 2026.

The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer reported August revenue of T$921.8 billion, about $29.15 billion at the conversion used by Reuters. Revenue increased 51.98% from a year earlier and exceeded T$900 billion for a second consecutive month.

Foxconn AI revenue benefits from server demand

Foxconn is a major supplier of servers used in AI data centres, including systems built around Nvidia processors. Demand for accelerated computing has expanded orders for high-performance servers, networking hardware and related components.

The company also manufactures consumer electronics and other information-and-communications products. Seasonal demand for those products typically strengthens later in the year, so the third-quarter outlook reflects more than a single product line.

What the forecast actually says

Foxconn did not provide a detailed numerical profit forecast in the report. Its statement that the quarter should outperform market expectations is therefore directional. Investors will need the formal quarterly results to assess margins, product mix and the contribution from AI systems.

Revenue growth does not automatically translate into the same rate of profit growth. Component costs, customer concentration, currency movements, capital spending and manufacturing margins all affect earnings.

Global uncertainty remains

The company cautioned that political and economic volatility remains a risk. Electronics supply chains cross multiple borders and can be affected by tariffs, export controls, logistics disruption and changes in customer investment plans.

Foxconn reported a 35% rise in second-quarter profit in August, beating analyst expectations, according to Reuters. That result and the record revenue figures support the stronger outlook, but they do not remove the risks attached to rapidly changing AI spending.

The next confirmation will come with Foxconn’s full third-quarter report. For now, the company’s monthly disclosure provides evidence of strong current demand, while the absence of a precise earnings forecast limits how far the outlook can be quantified.
