Sonu Sood Reaches Nepal with Relief Supplies for Flood Victims

Actor Sonu Sood arrived in Kathmandu with relief supplies for people affected by the devastating floods in Nepal. Accompanied by the team of his Sood Charity Foundation, he landed on September 1, 2026, with food and blankets.

The flash floods, triggered by a collapse of ice and rock near the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26, caused widespread destruction in northern and central Nepal. Official figures put the death toll above 1,000, with thousands still missing and more than 11,000 rescued.

Speaking to reporters, Sood said: “We are here to meet all the victims of the flood. We just want to be with the people who are in need and will try to bring their lives back on track.” He added that relief efforts would continue in the coming months and that his team was assessing further needs on the ground.

Sood visited affected areas including Nuwakot and interacted with survivors. He also proposed a longer-term “Resolve to Build a Home” campaign focused on housing, education and health support for those left homeless.
