NEET UG Counselling: Round 2 Reporting Ends September 18

NEET UG counselling has entered the reporting stage for Round 2 after the Medical Counselling Committee published its final allotment result dated September 12, 2026. Candidates who have received a seat must complete reporting and joining at their allotted institution by September 18.

MCC’s UG Medical Counselling page confirms that reporting has started and links directly to the final result. The Times of India reported the release on September 12 and gives the reporting window as September 12–18.

NEET UG counselling: check the final allotment

Candidates should begin at the official MCC website and select UG Medical Counselling. Under Current Events, the relevant document is titled “Final Result UG Round 2 Counselling 2026 dated 12.09.2026.” Checking the round and date helps distinguish this result from the earlier Round 1 list and vacancy documents that appear on the same page.

The next step is to review the allotted college and course, then follow MCC and institutional instructions for joining. Keep a downloaded copy of the result and any documents provided through the candidate portal for reference during admission formalities.

Reporting deadline falls on September 18

The official AIQ and state schedule linked by MCC lists September 18 as the last date of joining for Round 2. Its timetable also places verification of joined-candidate data on September 19. These are different stages: the later verification date should not be treated as an extra day for candidates to join.

MCC directs participating institutions to treat Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays as working days for compliance with the counselling timetable. Candidates should therefore follow the admissions schedule even when it overlaps with a weekend, while confirming the institution’s reporting arrangements.

Use current notices for individual circumstances

The MCC page separately lists notices concerning Round 2 float resignation and resignation by candidates who froze their Round 1 seat. Applicants considering a change should read the notice applicable to their own status before acting. A general result announcement does not resolve every resignation or retention question.

Likewise, vacancy lists and newly added seat documents describe different parts of the allocation process. They should not be substituted for the final allotment result when checking the place assigned to a candidate.

For assistance, MCC directs candidates to the contact details on its website. The safest practical sequence is to confirm the final result, read the relevant joining instructions and contact the allotted institution promptly about any unresolved requirement. Applicants should rely on official notices if later amendments are issued.
