Enterprise analytics company MathCo says it plans to create more than 2,000 specialised artificial-intelligence roles as part of a four-year transition to an AI-native operating model.
The company announced the plan around its tenth anniversary. It expects its AI-native workforce across India and the United States to exceed 4,000 people over the period, combining targeted recruitment with training for existing employees.
What the AI jobs India plan includes
MathCo identified forward-deployed engineers as one of the roles in the expansion. Such positions typically work closely with customers to adapt technical systems to operating needs, although exact duties and hiring requirements will vary by team.
The company has not said that all 2,000 roles will be filled immediately or exclusively in India. The figure is a multi-year target covering its India and US operations, so it should not be read as a current vacancy count.
The Thinking Architecture framework
As part of the change, MathCo introduced a framework called the Thinking Architecture. The company describes four pillars: consumption, orchestration, integration and context. The aim is to help enterprises connect AI systems with data and workflows rather than running isolated pilot projects.
MathCo says it wants to extend the operating model to clients and is targeting threefold business growth over four years. That is a forward-looking company goal, not a guaranteed financial result.
Why enterprise AI roles are changing
Many organisations have moved from experimenting with generative AI to asking how systems can be deployed securely and measured against business outcomes. That shift creates demand for people who can connect models with enterprise data, evaluate reliability, control access and work with users.
It also raises the importance of reskilling. Existing analysts, engineers and consultants may need stronger capabilities in model evaluation, agent workflows, data governance and human oversight. Recruitment alone may not supply all of the required expertise.
What prospective applicants should verify
Job seekers should rely on the company’s official careers page for open positions, locations and qualifications. A strategic hiring announcement can precede individual job postings, and fraudulent recruiters sometimes exploit prominent expansion plans.
The most meaningful progress indicators will be actual headcount growth, the balance between new hiring and upskilling, regional distribution and evidence that the AI-native model delivers client outcomes.
MathCo’s announcement reflects a broader change in technology services: companies are reorganising around AI delivery, but success depends on execution, governance and customer value rather than the label alone.
